Isidore Rodriguez
Police Officer at New York City Police Department
I’ve served thirteen years in the 40th Precinct in the South Bronx, where I worked as a Field Training Officer, mentoring and developing newly assigned officers in one of the city’s most dynamic commands. In 2019, I became a Peer Support Officer in response to the department’s growing focus on mental health and the rise in officer suicides; a turning point that deepened my commitment to supporting the well-being of my fellow officers. Today, I serve with the NYPD Employee Assistance Unit within the Health and Wellness Section. In this role, I conduct outreach across commands citywide, ensuring all members of the service know that support is available whenever they need it. My mission is to promote mental health awareness, reduce stigma, and help every officer access the care and resources they deserve.
