Nurse Supervisor - Buprenorphine Pathways Clinic

ABOUT THE ROLE The Community Health Services Division of King County's Department of Public Health is seeking a nurse leader for the Downtown Public Health Clinic Team. This role oversees and supervises the Pathways Clinic, which provides low-barrier Medication for Opiate Use Disorder and primary care services to vulnerable populations using harm reduction models. The supervisor leads a diverse clinical team and works closely with the Area Manager and lead physician to provide integrated care, lead program improvements, and ensure high-quality service. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Direct supervision of staff including hiring, performance evaluations, training, counseling, team building, and discipline. - Provide support and training to staff regarding reflection, trauma-informed practices, and reduction of secondary trauma. - Collaborate with the community and agencies to assess public needs, develop program goals, and implement Pathways Clinic programming. - Coordinate schedules, onboarding, and offboarding for UW Residents and Fellows. - Perform Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance work, including chart reviews to ensure clinical compliance. - Work collaboratively with the lead physician to ensure patient workflow and supervision of the care team. - Work with the Program Manager regarding funding, data, performance measures, and continuous improvement efforts. - Coordinate, review, and process patient satisfaction and grievance surveys, resolving concerns and complaints. - Oversee clinic expansion efforts as the program increases services to urgent primary care and mobile teams. - Collaborate with leadership and staff to define and establish clear roles within the clinic. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in nursing, or a master's/graduate level nursing degree (MSN, DNP, PhD) from an accredited school of nursing. - Washington State Registered Nurse License in good standing. - Washington State Driver's License in good standing. - Current BLS-CPR for Healthcare Providers. - Experience in opiate disorder programs, care coordination, public health, and/or community-based health programs. - Demonstrated experience supervising or leading staff in a healthcare, social service, or public health setting. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS - Must pass credentialing, a pre-employment physical, and a thorough background investigation. - Protect the privacy and security of protected health information as defined by State and Federal Law. - Proficiency and comfort with computer use, including Microsoft Office and web-based tools. - Adherence to OSHA/WISHA guidelines, completion of mandatory trainings, and obtaining required immunizations. - Ability to respond to public health emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and deployment to other locations.
