Inmate Programs Coordinator

ABOUT THE ROLE The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is seeking a regular full-time Inmate Programs Coordinator within the Corrections Division at the Adult Detention Center. This role executes inmate programs including educational, religious, substance abuse, and reentry programs, while coordinating schedules, managing volunteers, and tracking statistical data to reduce recidivism and support successful community reintegration. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Execute inmate programs including educational, religious, substance abuse, and reentry initiatives. - Coordinate program schedules to ensure maximum inmate inclusion. - Plan, organize, recruit, and deploy volunteers in support of inmate programs. - Collect and monitor statistical data regarding inmate programs and their impact on recidivism. - Instruct, proctor, and deliver inmate education and certification programs, including GED completion. - Communicate with local agencies to support and provide inmate programs. - Monitor service delivery to identify gaps and link inmates with essential service providers for successful reintegration. - Identify program efficiencies and recommend improvements to the Inmate Program Manager. - Recruit volunteers and conduct background screening, onboarding, and training. - Assist with planning and conducting events and outreach with community partners, educational institutions, and the public. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor’s degree in a related field. - One (1) year of related work experience such as coordinating training and/or working with community groups and volunteers. - An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS - Pass pre-employment background checks including references, credit, fingerprinting, and polygraph examination. - Hold or obtain VCIN/NCIC certifications in addition to any other certifications required for the assigned area. - Attend LIDS/CORIS training.
