About This Position
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) is seeking an IT Project Manager to support the ACIO and IT team for the Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA). This role involves supporting critical and highly visible projects, tracking documentation, coordinating reviews, and executing project administration deliverables in a hybrid work environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create, document, track, and report progress for assigned projects and deliverables.
- Coordinate and schedule online and in-person meetings, present agendas, and record meeting minutes.
- Track actions, risks, issues, and next steps associated with DTA IT projects and procurements.
- Prepare presentation-ready documents, reports, slides, and handouts using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Maintain confidentiality of contracting, procurement details, system security details, and personal identifiable information.
- Review and receive approval for system support and procurement tickets, including business justifications for new equipment.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with project team members, senior leadership, and stakeholders.
- Professionally represent DTA IT when working with other EOHHS units or external third parties.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- At least six years of full-time or equivalent part-time professional, administrative, supervisory, or managerial experience in business, public, or clinical administration/management.
- At least two years of the required experience must be in a project management, supervisory, or managerial capacity.
- Substitutions allowed: A relevant certificate substitutes for one year; a Bachelor's degree substitutes for two years; a Graduate degree substitutes for three years; a Doctorate degree substitutes for four years of the required experience.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Preferred knowledge of and experience in a government information technology environment.
- Ability to translate and communicate technical concepts to both technical personnel and non-IT business partners.
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently, assess priorities, and operate flexibly to meet dynamic team needs.
- Must be willing to occasionally travel to DTA Regional offices in Boston, Quincy, and Wakefield, or other area offices and group homes within Massachusetts.
SELECTION PROCESS
- Completion of a criminal and tax history background check (CORI) as required by EOHHS regulations.
- Verification of education, licensure, and certifications in accordance with the Human Resources Division's Hiring Guidelines.
