ABOUT THE ROLE Teach High School Career and Technology Education (CTE) in Hospitality and Business at Lahainaluna High School. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Deliver comprehensive CTE instruction in Hospitality and Business. - Maintain alignment with Hawaii Teacher Standards Board (HTSB) requirements and educational standards. - Foster an inclusive, equitable learning environment in accordance with state and federal non-discrimination policies. - Participate in school-wide activities, professional development, and the continuous improvement of teaching practices. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's Degree. - Valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit upon hire. - If hired without completing a Teacher Education Program, a maximum of 3 years is allowed to obtain a valid Hawaii teaching license. - Must enroll in an aligned program and demonstrate active pursuit toward meeting HTSB licensing requirements within each year of employment. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS - Must obtain or hold a valid Hawaii Teaching License to receive salary differentials and bonuses. - Continuous enrollment and active progress in an approved teacher preparation program if not fully licensed at the time of hire.
