About This Position
About the Role
This part-time, temp/seasonal position performs skilled, journey-level electrical and electronic work within a high-demand arena environment, primarily at the Kia Center and other Orlando Venues facilities. The role specializes in the installation, maintenance, and repair of power distribution systems, equipment, machinery, lighting, and related electrical components to ensure reliable performance during large-scale events. Work is performed under general supervision and requires the flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair power distribution systems, equipment, machinery, lighting, and related electrical components.
- Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues within the arena environment.
- Maintain critical electrical infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Operate and support event lighting systems for live productions.
- Complete all work in accordance with industry standards to ensure safety and efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certification.
- Experience: Two years of electrical experience, or an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience.
- License: Valid Florida Driver License.
Special Requirements
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
- Must be willing to work on a temp/seasonal contract that can be renewed annually based on performance and business need.
- Work is evaluated through periodic inspections, direct observation, and overall facility condition.
- Applicants must strictly meet the minimum qualifications to proceed in the application process.
Selection Process

2. Qualification Assessment: Verification of journey-level electrical experience and ability to work flexible event-based schedules.
