Jennifer Fogliano

Jennifer Fogliano is an experienced planner and researcher specializing in sustainability, resiliency, and climate change. Over nearly two decades, she advanced transportation and environmental initiatives through positions at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority in New York City, the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority, and the New Jersey Climate Change Resource Center. She began her career at the MTA, collaborating across city, state, and regional agencies to strengthen and expand mass transit for New York City and the surrounding region. She then spent nearly a decade at the NJTPA, focusing on sustainability and resiliency issues, particularly climate change adaptation and mitigation in relation to the transportation system. Most recently, Jennifer served as a Senior Research Specialist at the New Jersey Climate Change Resource Center, where her work spanned food waste management, zero-emissions transportation, legislative research and analysis, environmental justice, community engagement, grant management, and advising local governments on federal funding opportunities. Throughout her career, Jennifer coordinated short- and long-term plans and projects with federal, state, regional, and local agencies, as well as with nonprofits, consultants, and the public. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia and a Master of Urban Planning from Hunter College, CUNY, in New York.
