Leonardo Macias is a pioneering educational leader with nearly three decades of service devoted to equity, inclusion, and student-centered reform. His career has been defined by a commitment to building safe, restorative, and emotionally supportive learning environments. Through strategic leadership at multiple levels—including school, district, and central administration—Leonardo has shaped policy and culture grounded in empathy, accountability, and community connection. As co-founder of the Yoga and Mindfulness Teacher Preparation Program, he helped launch a trailblazing initiative that embeds wellness, resilience, and social-emotional development into the core of teacher training and educational practice.
