ABOUT THE ROLE
The Policy Analyst will provide project management, analytical, research, and administrative support for the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Health and Human Services. This role focuses on supporting programs and initiatives for older adults, youth and young adults, people with disabilities, and other specialized populations. The analyst will liaise with agencies, track implementation plans, review data, and produce materials to support executive decision-making.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide central administrative support, including coordination, correspondence, briefing memoranda, and meeting planning.
- Assist with project management for high-priority interagency workstreams, such as improving healthcare delivery and addressing homelessness, by liaising with agencies, tracking progress, and distributing meeting notes.
- Support agency management by monitoring projects and reviewing policy proposals, budgets, and public reporting alongside team liaisons.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research and analysis on local, state, and federal policies within the portfolio.
- Prepare public communication and meeting materials, including drafting memos, remarks, and correspondence for the Deputy Mayor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s Degree required.
2. Two or more years of relevant experience.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

- Adaptability: Ability to prioritize conflicting demands, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

- Analytical Ability: Capable of quickly absorbing complex technical documents and briefing senior staff. Research and/or analytical experience is a plus.
- Subject Matter Interest: Demonstrated interest in public health, mental health, and social services.
