Kara Smith

Principal & Founder at Lotus Lion Learning

I am passionate about creating inclusive environments and empowering employee resource groups (ERGs) to drive meaningful change. With expertise in ERG management, business development, and strategic planning, I specialize in crafting impactful strategies that foster engagement, enhance organizational culture, and support diverse teams. As the Community Director at FLOWLab⁵, I led initiatives that increased productivity by 30% in 2024 through strategic social media planning and sponsor/donor relationship management. By streamlining operations and improving membership onboarding processes, I contributed to significant growth and revenue generation. Now, as the Principal & Founder of Lotus Lion Learning, I leverage my experience in ERG support, operational efficiency, and stakeholder collaboration to help organizations unlock the full potential of their teams. My mission is to drive inclusion, engagement, and sustainable growth through tailored consulting solutions. I'm also passionate about coaching and supporting leaders and teams on best practices, clear communications, and brand-supportive messages. My creativity and highly skilled, empathetic approach to problem-solving, consistently results in supportive and interactive teams. On the fun personal side, I love design, travel, theatre, dance and The Arts. I adore the freedom of working remotely and have lived in New York, Washington, D.C., Arizona, and Hollywood, CA.
