Damon Gergar

Chief Business Development Officer at CityGov

Driven by a mission to protect children, Damon served 21 years with the NYPD, specializing in child exploitation and human trafficking cases. As a Homeland Security Task Force Officer and longtime ICAC member, he worked with agencies like the FBI and HSI to bring offenders to justice using advanced investigative techniques involving the dark web, cryptocurrency, and encrypted platforms. Now at Chainalysis, he’s trained over 1,000 law enforcement professionals worldwide in crypto investigations. Damon holds a master’s in criminology and previously taught at John Jay College.
