Talent Acquisition Manager at City of Kansas City, MO
Let's be honest: 108 days to fill a job? Not on my watch. With 20+ years of progressive experience at the City of Kansas City, MO, I’ve built my HR career from the ground up, starting in an entry-level role and growing into a talent acquisition leader driving innovation across recruiting, HRIS, and digital transformation. Over the years, I’ve led major projects like the following: 🧭 Overhauling the city’s hiring process, reducing time-to-hire from 108 days to 42 🔁 Transitioning from PeopleSoft to Workday, mapping processes and training stakeholders 📊 Building real-time Time-to-Hire dashboards 🤖 Creating AI help agents for hiring managers and applicants 🎪 Managing citywide job fairs and enterprise hiring for ~5,000+ employees As a leader, I’m people-first, data-driven, and obsessed with removing friction from the hiring experience. I've developed training programs, built strategic pipelines, and had the honor of mentoring 4 of my team members into internal promotions. In 2024, I was invited to speak at the LEAP HR Public Sector Conference, where I shared how we’re transforming government hiring by combining empathy, systems, and strategy. 🌟 What I’m Known For: -Public sector HR transformation -Talent Acquisition innovation -Tech-savvy HR systems leadership -DEI-forward hiring strategies -Mentorship, training, and people development Outside of work? I’m a proud girl mom to a college Junior (Go 'Cats) and two adorable Alaska Klee Kai (Aspen & Rocky). I recharge by spending time with friends and practicing self-care because if we don’t pour into ourselves, we can’t pour into others. Let’s connect if you’re driving transformation in HR, recruiting, or public service. I’m always up for sharing ideas or partnering on what’s next.
