Maia King

Corporate Speech and Language Pathologist

Maia serves as a Clinical Specialist and Corporate SLP for Noor Staffing who enjoys the balance of both speech - language pathology leadership and corporate communication. Ms. King has taken on leadership roles within the SLP as community, including her position as an adjunct professor at Columbia University. Maia’s career as a speech and language pathologist has a large umbrella encompassing medical, educational and currently corporate speech and language pathology. As the founder the popular parent premier "Play and Social Skills" program for children, she has been dedicated to fostering social interactions and developmental growth since starting her private practice in 2013. Accreditations include the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, National Aphasia Association, the National Stroke Association, and the New York State Speech Language-Hearing Association. Her publication, "Individualizing Speech Therapy Goals in a Group Setting: An Aphasia Viewpoint," was featured in the National Stroke Association, StrokeSmart, among other platforms. As an accomplished guest lecturer, she participated as a lead speaker at the New York Metropolitan Area Stroke Coordinators’ Consortium and other events pertaining to the application of speech-language pathology and entrepreneurial leadership, particularly regarding her award-winning private practice, which received the Patient Choice Award in 2015."
